Deucer is staying in the Hospital tonight.

Well-Patty was right but as they got Deucer ready to leave-again, his pulse shot up and they decided to keep him in the hospital again overnight-checking for blood clots.

He definately feels better, according to Dad, but now they just need to make sure he doesn't have a blood clot.

Please send good thoughts Dad's way-he hasn't had even a little break. He's been driving back and forth from Seward to Omaha almost every day for over 3 weeks now. (1:30 each way for those non-Nebraskans on the log.) Anyway- I appreciate all the nice things people keep mentioning on the blog about me-just wanted everyone to know there are many "Heros" that keep this operation running smoothly. The past couple of weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster for everyone!

Also- don't stop thinking or praying for Deucer! We need them now more than ever.

well, i must say deucer, you sure know how to keep things interesting...but i guess that's what kids are for...sorry to hear that you're having to spend another night in the hospital...we're praying that you'll be out of there again tomorrow...for good!...kristen and some friends are down in the family watching "ricky bobby" and LTAO...so that must be a semi funny movie, although it didn't get raving reviews...but anything nascar HAS to be GREAT!...32 days, 14 hrs, and 23 min till daytona...just thought you might need a reminder...
love, and prayers to you, mary and your dad...you and your dad have always been great inspiration for me, but especially over the past 6 months...stay strong...
love you guys

I know what it is Deuce, its the great hospital food, that's why you keep going back isn't it? Seriously though, please know that you and your family continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

On a side note, you need to get back to QLI because I am tired of hearing about "Poor Deucer, blah, blablah, blah ...." from Michele.

Again, my little friend, just ignore Dale's comments. He has no idea what he's talking about!

I hope you get better soon! We want to visit you at QLI next time, not at the hospital. The attire is much more relaxed at QLI...

Hang in there Duecer! Tell your Dad he's a superhero for his dedication - but when he's got a superhero for a son how could he help it? At least that's what I suspect. Am I right or am I right? Here's hoping you're back home in no time...

Shoot. ... I was hoping the morning would bring a report that you had gone home to QLI. Hey... maybe you have! Where ever you are I hope you are feeling better.
They say it's warmer... that would be the difference between a small ice cube and a large ice cube...
For the record your dad has been a hero of mine since he taught be what the equal sign was for, I think I was in kindergarten.. he was taking algebra and babysitting .. I've used that info alot ;). Love to All, Jac

Back in the hospital? That doesn't sound like fun.

I hope you're feeling better soon and maybe you can get the heck out of that place and back to QLI!

There are worse reasons to be in the hospital, I guess:

"In Monkwearmouth, England, a 22-year-old Iraq-war veteran told buddies he was bored and, imitating a prank from a "Jackass" movie, inserted a firework "up his backside," according to a Daily Mail story, and lit it. When it exploded, he was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital with a scorched colon and other serious injuries. [Contra Costa Times, 11-3-06] [Daily Mail (London), 11-9-06]"
